27 JUNE 2012 - Deputy Education Minister Datuk Wee Ka Siong told the Dewan Rakyat that the drawing up of education transformation plan is in rapid progress and is expected to be ready by August or September.
He added that the government has set up a four-man international advisory panel, consisting of academists from Korea, Singapore and Canada as well as an independent advisory panel which comprises professionals from various sectors, including education, religion and corporate world in drawing up the plan.
He said a total of 17 dialogues have been held thus far, involving 10,383 participants. The dialogue will continue to be held for gathering feedback.
