13 JULY 2012 - I refer to the report “Heartless passers-by” and the accompanying picture (The Star, July 12). The police investigating officer Asst Supt Wong Yuet Onn showed the human side of a policeman.
Kudos to ASP Wong who showed that policeman can also be passionate and sympathetic.
I hope all policemen can learn from him. His presence and genuine show of emotion and concern must have been greatly appreciated by the family of Madam Tan Kim Chuan during their time of great sorrow and loss. I salute you ASP Supt Wong!
