21 JUNE 2012 - According to Selangor MB Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, only 10 percent of 600k people in Petaling Jaya use public transport. Regarding this matter, he hopes that the PJ folks could make good use of public transport in order to increase the usage rate up to 60 percent.
He added that in order to have a good quality of urban life, PJ residents’ first need is to accept the use of public transport as an effort to make PJ a developed city with a consummate public transport system.
In another story, a KL resident complained about the lack of quality in the KTM Komuter service.
She claimed that the KTM service is slow and often late, coaches are over-crowded, hot and highly impersonal, and the biggest problem is that KTM service provider did not keep its promise to ensure that the “ladies only coach” to be boarded only by women.
